On Wednesday night the girls recieved a package from their grandparents with a ton of candy and Halloween outfits that included headbands and socks that light up. (Thanks grandma Karen). So, that evening they wore their outfits to an annual pumpkin carving night that we do at church with foreign students from the local university.
On Halloween the girls wore their costumes to ballet and then we drove to a shopping center to snag some candy with some friends and to ride the train. Then we went home to eat Spaghetti because Paul ran a half marathon the following morning and wanted carbs that night. Then after spaghetti we went back out to trick-or-treat at two friends' homes.
The girls of course changed their minds a lot about what they wanted to be, but we went to a second hand store and found the wings and they were easily persuaded into being fairies, which I like better than the only other option...princesses. They got to decorate their wings with some help and they turned out pretty good.

love all the photos, love those wings. isn't it fun to have LOTS of different events to go to so that halloween costumes get used more than once. . . we had four different times we wore our costumes. love the girls wings, and especially in the little tram. . cute cute!!! one year we should have a big halloween reunion with lots of friends and their kids. . . that would be SOOOO fun!!!! love ya
cutie pics. i have been looking through the journal that i keep for jenna and was reading a little about the time we spent with you guys and how maddi loved "baby jenna" so much. i then realized that jenna is almost as old now as maddi was then. they are growing up sooo fast!

ha ha. . . are you wondering when i'm going to tell mike about my 17 love affair with a group of 5 boys? ha ha!!! he knows. nancy stover is worse. . . way worse. she and jessica johnson went to the concert too, in houston a month ago, and she said guy just said "be back by morning." she wasn't sure if she'd run away with joe in the end or not :) it's nice to have supportive husbands, supportive of our girlhood crushes :)
