I am so mischievious and I love it.


Olivia is beginning to nap less. Every once-in-a-while she will lie in bed and not fall asleep. Well, last Friday was one of these days. It was also the day Maddi goes to ballet, and Olivia is as excited to go to Maddi’s class as Maddi is, so this may be why she didn’t sleep. I heard Olivia talking and had gone in there once to see her. Then she got surprisingly quiet and I was helping Maddi get dressed so I didn’t pay any attention. But usually when the kids get very quiet it means they are highly entertained, which usually means they are doing something shouldn’t be doing. So, this is what I found when I went into the room. She had gotten a bottle of baby powder, and as you can see, shaken it until it was completely empty. I couldn’t help but laugh when I found her.

Ballet is Back

Maddi is doing ballet again. It looks like she is falling a little less than the video I posted 8 months ago, but she is still definitely marching to the beat of a different drummer. (And is pretty good at hopping backwards). Check it out.

First book read in 2008!

I thought I would start posting what I read.

This book was wonderful! I won't try to compete with people who are much better at reviewing a book, but will just say briefly that it was a great read for me. It's about a lady's journey through Italy, India and Indonesia. The later two destinations were especially interesting to me because she tells us about her "spiritual" journey in these locations. She really made me think about meditation and pursuing God in a more experiential manner. It's not a new idea to me, but far from a reality and this book made me want to try again to practice prayer and meditation. The book was also wonderful for it's sheer entertainment and humor element. It made me long to be on some foreign adventure again.

I'm working on some other books; I'll let you know how they were when I finish.
